April 7, 2009: Roll With It

Brainstorming with gel pens worked — I was able to figure out the relationship between Kerlis and the empress, which is key to the scene I was struggling with. I managed to write about 300 new words, which is a tidy bit of productivity on a day I thought would have none.

I’m thinking the same for today, but even as I think it — and give myself permission to let it be so — I also recognize I haven’t been terribly accurate in my predictions of “no work done today.” Every time I’ve thought I won’t get anything done, something breaks loose.

I know that this will change at some point, but until it does, I’m rolling with it.
